Rep Power: 147324 | | | While I know it can be therapeutic to give negative reputation to spammers - negative reputations doesn't get reported to anyone...
Please use the Report Post function when you see spam that might have been missed by the moderation staff - we don't always see everything... but reported posts we do see and can act on...

thanks | How exactly does one tell if a post/thread is spam or from a troll? (Sorry, my ignorance is showing . . . ) I've never seen or come across that I don't think.

spam is pretty blatant - someone is selling something.. or it's their first post and they have a link to a moronic website. often times the person's signature will contain a link to some site - especially sites like clickbank and other sites that clicking the link puts money in s omeone's pocket

I only ask because I thought it was spam, reported it as such over a week ago...and the post still remains as the last post on a sticky thread in the newcomers forum.
