I didn't really know where else to post this but I thought here would be best suited...I suppose I could have posted this in my journal.

I have come to realize today that when it's time to PMS...no matter what the scale said the day before...once that retention sets in I feel like a weight-loss failure. I know it's just hormones, and I know that I haven't gained 5lbs in 2 days but I can't shake that feeling with the onset of PMS.

I just wanted to see how others may combat this.

PMS is beating me up:boxing:

I use the Hacker's Diet weight tracking thingy. (Signal and Noise (http://www.fourmilab.ch/hackdiet/e4/signalnoise.html#Fa52) has an explanation of the logic behind it, and some of the math involved) The general idea is to smooth out the day-to-day fluctuations, so you can see the general trend.

I think this link (https://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/HackDiet?s=7KW79JW8G429KFQWF653986F4W9JJFWJ85W8131W&q=log&m=now&HDiet_tzoffset=300) should take you to my chart for October. The red is the trend line, with the diamonds being actual scale weights. That big mid-month jump is water retention. :P But it only shows up on the scale - the trend line says I'm still losing.
