I just made a post to join in the 150s club, but I think we need a 140s since I'm exactly 150 right now.
I personally seem to be stuck at 150 and my trainer says I need to get down to 120. I just found out I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and high triglycerides at 309. *yikes!* I've never had any of these problems in my life and now everything is going downhill because of my weight and terrible eating habits.
So ..................

I can join this club too! I will be completely honest, I fell WAY off the wagon the past few months, and just in the past week I have been getting myself back on track. Long story short, I am afraid to weigh myself for another few days. Having said that, I know that at my highest weight I am between 140-145, and I know I am in that range right now.
So, although I do not have a specific number at the moment (I will have a nervous breakdown if I get on the scale, I swear lol), I am def a member of the 140s club...(hopefully I will be saying goodbye soon...)

I always wanted to get to 139 (well 133 but wanted to break the 140s) but my doctor saw me during week and said i couldnt lose anymore, i was 144/145 and told me to put on 5lb. As soon as she said that and i relaxed a wee bit i started losing. Typical. Ill probaby be staying in this club..as long as i dont start gaining

I have a small frame so am still too large at this weight. My BMI is still overweight and I really should be towards the low end of normal to be a size that fits my frame.
I hit a major milestone yesterday when I reached half my starting weight. I was a very big person for over twenty years. My weight went up slightly today - but fortunately stayed under my milestone.
I want to head for the 130s as quickly as possible - but sometimes things can take a little time this deep into a long term project.

Omega you are an inspiration! Congrats on your milestone!
I also reached a milestone today, I have lost a total of 60 Lbs, I am so excited. I don't think I can even lift 60 lbs lol, well without wrecking myself.
Omega
April 15th, 2008, 07:06 AM
Kgirl - congratulations on your own milestone. :hurray: Sixty pounds is a huge amount of weight - and you are right to be proud for losing it. My 2.5 pound wrist weights are heavy enough for me - and I am not keen on trying to lift anything heavier. I have decided that we must have all been really strong before to be doing all that weight lifting 24/7/365. I wouldnt want to carry a bag of potatoes around with me all the time - never mind what we have lost!

I am about the same weight as I was about two weeks ago. It has been a turbulent time weight-wise over that time. I got rushed into hospital a week and a half ago and needed to have an emergency operation. I wasnt allowed anything to eat or drink for two days and had a saline drip constantly pouring sodium into me. I was horrified to find after three days I had put on over 8 pounds. It was a poor "weightloss" reward for days of not eating.
Fortunately my recovery has gone really well and I am fine now.
I have spent the past week drinking lots of water and have been taking arnica for the post-op swelling. I have got my weight pretty much back where it was.

If you dont have a tracker already - click on someone else's to get to the ticker create site, then go through the process of selecting the components that you want.
When the ticker gets created it should list the bbcode.
Copy the bbcode and click on "user cp" in the top bar and then "edit signature" on the left hand side.
Then paste it in the signature box.
You should be able to preview it and then save it.
To the best of my memory - this is what I did.

My best advice would be to go to the "club challenges" section of the forum.
You should find two threads there entitled
"3 months till summer challenge"
"3 months until summer challenge - results and scoresheets only"
Just join in.
Basically this challenge started a couple of months ago - but the person organising it and a lot of the people playing disappeared. A handful of people were left and they were getting no motivation from the way things were. I basically took over and have been setting weekly challenges which are designed to foster good nutritional habits.
Lets face it - it is all in fun and there are no prizes - so just copy in a blank scoresheet on the results and scoresheets thread and start accumulating points today.
If you try to adopt the challenges that I have set over the last few weeks you will almost certainly lift your nutritional game.
Alternatively read around the nutrition section - particularly the sticky threads. You may benefit from an account with fitday.com. I know many people that use that site a lot.

Hey, try Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal - MyFitnessPal.com (http://www.myfitnesspal.com) it has helped me lose 30lbs and it makes it a lot easier to lose the weight. It basically sets all of your intakes for you. I usually go over all of them except for my calories. but yea, try that.

Kgirl - congratulations on getting out of here!
eigna - welcome to the club and to the forum.
greentearocks - good luck for when you decide to face up to the scales. I always think that it is best to see the damage. Sometimes it is not as bad as you fear - and we may as well know what we have to deal with before it gets out of hand. As you can see from my ticker start weight - things have been known to get out of hand for me and it would have been so much easier to deal with if I hadnt put my head into the sand until my weight doubled.
I am still here and expect to be here another couple of weeks now. I lost nothing in what should have been my second of two weeks of weight loss. I went away for the weekend and ending up eating bad things on both Friday and Saturday making me gain. I am due to start retaining water any day and it normally adds on 3 to 4 pounds to my weight for 12 to 14 days. This will be enough to keep me in the 140s for the next two weeks for certain. Hopefully I can get down to the 130s in my next two week window for weight loss.
None of us can wait to get out of here.

greentearocks - good luck at the scale. Try to keep to healthy food and stay consistant with the exercise levels. It is hard work for us all - but it is really worth it. Do what I do - keep saying to yourself "nothing tastes as good as slim feels". Just a tiny weight drop will take your weight down to the next level.

I have significantly cut down my calories. I don't under-eat, at the same time. Small, frequent meals, lean Proteins, vegetables and a little fruit. Lots of water..
I exercise about 4 times a week (40 minutes cardio and 30 minutes resistance training).. It's not much, but it's much more than I ever did before...
