Hello!
I have been doing Cohens for about 8 weeks and have lost over 9 kilos and 40cm's. I am finally again wearing clothes that I havent worn since becoming pregnant with my first child nearly 6 years ago. I've got another 9kg to lose.

I am going to SIngapore on holidays next week and I am rather nervous about trying to stick to the diet and not gain any weight. Obviously it is going to be difficult with food choices as I will be eating out for 3 meals per day, for 9 days.

I was planning on factoring in some light exercise to counteract any deviances.

I discussed it with my cohens person but she wasnt much help. Just kept pushing that I have to make sure I stick to the foods. Obviously I will choose Cohens food where I can, but I am sure there will be times when this is difficult.

Anyone have any advice?

Hi rellio. I think sticking to Cohen's food as much as possible & doing some light exercise is probably the best you will be able to do. The food should be fairly healthy I would imagine. Keep your carb's to a minimum (incl. alcohol). I am not much help as I basically hibernated whilst on the program. Really I would do the best you can, get home, go straight back on the program 100%. How thay sits with your consultant is another matter. Have a wonderful holiday, cheers, Cate.

Hello
Well I am pleased to report that after 8 days in Singapore I only put on 800gms. I was stoked with this, as it was very hard at times to find suitable options. Breakfast was the easiest and I just stuck to an egg and tomato or mushrooms. Every day I took a couple of pieces of fruit from the breakfast buffet and ate these throughout the day. Lunch & dinner was harder, but where i could I stuck to Greek salads, etc. A couple of times I ate a smoked salmon salad as this was the best alternative. Better to eat a small amount of salmon than a hamburger and fries!! A few times I ate very-non Cohens dinners :) but with lots of walking around with the kids, heaps of sweating (it was so humid) and loads of water I managed to do pretty well. I had lost the extra 800gms within a few days of being home, so it all worked out.
It was a good lesson in continuing on this path well after Cohens is over. A few indulgences, balanced with lots of good choices is the best path to a healthy weight - forever.

I was very stressed about it all before I went, but i managed to calm down, enjoy the holiday and just promised myself that i would do the best I could.

I enjoyed feeling comfortable in a bathing suit for the first time ever, so that in itself was motivation to make good choices.

Well done rellio,
Sounds like you had a lovely holiday and did a great job at maintaining as best you could. Now back the grindstone and on with the program. You sound like you are right "in the zone" and will be at your goal weight in no time at all.
Isn't it a great feeling to wear swimmers and not feel like everyone is looking at you.
Take care
Beck
