I'm a bit on the compulsive side. So a lot of times its all or nothing. So I started doing this a couple of years ago (when I was taking care of my self). It took a lot of pressure of myself & I ended up exercising a lot more.
RULES
1. To exercise at least every other day.
2. You can never take two days off in a row.
3. You can exercise more. Exercise everyday if you want. Just do no
miss two days in a row.
So if it's Monday & you know that tomorrow is going to be a very busy day, do your exercise on Monday & take Tues. off.
THE RULES ARE THE RULES BECAUSE THE RULES ARE THE RULES!

I'd love to join this. I've got a bit of OCD on my side, so having a set schedule to workout is the only way I'll stick with it. I'm crunched for time most days so I doubt I'll list everything I do everyday I do it, but I"ll jump on here and do updates every time I get a moment to breathe.
so, starting the day before yesterday I did 3*15 for biceps(10lbs weight), triceps(5lbs), butterflies(10lbs) and pushups on a stability ball, 3*30 for crunches and reverse crunches on a stability ball, and 3*25 for oblique twists on a stability ball.
So, as you can see I'm puny, but I'm working on it. most of what I'm going to be doing will be isometrics and low weights, so don't expect to see many big numbers on my posts. :)
Today I'm going to do most (if not all) of what I did before and hopefully some cardio with my kids if they cooperate.

I am more like that now! I used to hate going to the gym and even walking anywhere. After a while you just realize you have to get off your fat ass and do it. I walk every day at least 20 minutes. Before when i was really heavy it wasnt enough, so I lifted heavily and walked.

well, I did just what I said I'd do. did everything but the actual weights(so no bicep tricep or butterflies). so I did my workout, today is my day off and then I'm going to do the full workout (with weights) tomaro. I didn't get the chance to do any cardio, but I think chasing after my toddler counts as enough cardio for a day.

well, I've already broken the rules. I didn't workout yesterday. I ended up dislocating 2 of my toes and spent the better part of the day trying to convince my husband I was allowed to walk from the couch to the bathroom. so yeah, working out was REALLY out of the question. but he's at work today so I can workout while he's gone. so I'm going to do that today and tomaro to make up for missing it yesterday. So, I'm going to go do that right now....

Hey, I'd love to be in, too. I really hate my old manual treadmill, but I try and use it alot during the winter (winter here being from October - March). I'd prefer to be out jogging, but it's difficult to do when its always -10 celsius or colder. I figure it's a lot better than nothing, even if I only get a kilometre or less some days.
01/22/08 ----- Treadmill - 2km - 29 mins. 1 out of a possible 1 day this month.
01/23/08 ----- Outdoor hockey - moderate activity - 60 mins. 2 out of a possible 2 days this month.
01/24/08 ----- Treadmill - 1km - 15 mins. 3 out of a possible 3 days this month.
Sorry to hear that, airmanwifey, hopefully you don't miss too much action! I really need to start a weight training program... I kept my current weight for the last 2 months or so, despite the fact I wasn't following my plan, but I am back on the losing path since the beginning of this week and won't be coming off this time until I'm done. I really think this is going to help, thanks troutman!

well, I did my workout for today. I think I need to change it up or something. I don't feel sore at all and normally I do after a workout. don't know why I don't today. I even upped my reps a bit and did the full routine. oh well. I'll figure out what to do today and try it out tomaro.

well I did another slightly smaller workout yesterday. today's my day off. I'm working on finding more things to add to my workout since the one I've started with isn't working for me anymore. Asked my husband for some tips and got absolutely no help. so it looks like I'll be going back through my fitness magazines and looking online. the hardest part is not having the weights I apparently need. Life would be much easier if we just had the fullset of free weights. ah well, in a perfect world.
But enough rambling. just wanted to pop in and let ya'll know I did my workout like I said I would. So now I'm off to wake up the kids and start my search for a better routine.

01/22/08 ----- Treadmill - 2km - 29 mins.
01/23/08 ----- Outdoor hockey - moderate activity - 60 mins.
01/24/08 ----- Treadmill - 1km - 15 mins.
01/27/08 ----- Wallyball -moderate activity - 90 mins.
I exercised 4 out of a possible 6 days this month.
Had friends from out of town come on Friday and Saturday, couldn't fit anything into my schedule, but I had a good sweat playing wallyball today. I'm down to about 197 now, too, so a good past few days. Clothes are fitting better and I feel great.
Good luck guys.

Well, I did my workout. skipped the pushups and butterflies, but added some squats with 2 10 lbs dumbells. I'm hoping if I keep trading exercises in and out it'll keep my body from getting too used to the routine. last thing I want is to stall out now. I'm so close to my goal!!!

I'm down with this. I've started running/walking combo every other night for the past 2 weeks. Every night it's been getting a lot easier and I dread it less.

well I did my workout again yesterday. no butterflies again, but I did the pushups and kept the squats. My husband says they're working. so I guess it's worth the pain. I'm thinking about doing some cardio today if the kids cooperate. we'll see.

I need warm weather so bad right now, that piece of junk treadmill is going to drive my crazy. I have to wait for Saturday and Sunday to play hockey and wallyball, I think I am going to find something to do on Wednesday nights... I'm thinking racquetball or squash..
Hope everyones day/month went well, keep it up :cheers2:

Once my kids go down for their naps I'll get my workout for today in. I'm deffinately seeing a difference in how I look now. it's great being able to actually SEE the changes. And my husband seems to be happy with it too. :D I'll update with what I actually did afterwards.

well, I did my workout again. I feel just fine right now. no real tightness or anything. might have to start switching exercises again. looks like it's back to hitting the mags and web to find more exercises to use since the ones I've got right now I've mostly adjusted to. ugh.

yeah, I suck. haven't done a damn thing since the last time I posted. unless you count playing pool as a workout. But the kids are asleep and the husband is on base, so I'mgonna go do my workout right now!

has everyone fallen off the wagon? or just too busy to post?
I've done horrid. didn't end up working out yesterday, and today might be a wash too. everytime I get ready to start one of my kids starts hollering. kinda hard to workout with a kid strapped to your hip.

and again it seems everyone has disappeared. I'm still mostly on track. this break was a little off, but I did exercise. we did some MAJOR yard work (tearing out HUGE rose bushes that had taken over, trimming back trees, pulling out rocks and linnings in the flower beds). after that I was SO sore. and then we did more the next day. so I'm counting those as my workouts. did my regular routine yesterday. added in planks.
hope everyone is still doing good. :waving:
