Ok I am really dedicated to getting my excess weight off for good and have been eating good and doing Cardio for a while but really want to see my belly come off. Now I dont have a little overhang, I am really overweight and have a GUT.

What can I do to target this area, is it true that by doing crunches that I can actually build muscle and make it harder to loose the fat around my waist?

I have an incline bench and would love to start using it if this is not true, but the last thing I want to do is slow down the progress of showing my weight loss.

I am very goal oriented so once I start dropping jean sizes I really get pumped up and work out even harder.

I had lost a hundred pounds about 8 years ago on the low carb diet only to slowly gain it back plus some over a period of about 5 years. Now am changing my lifestyle for good, and looking forward to seeing some results.

You can not *target* an area. Genetics will dictate where the weight will come off no matter what exercise you do.

I would exercise as normal and your body will change over time. Just be patient!!!

You cannot target areas for weightloss, but generally the order which you see fat loss is last on first off. So if your front porch was the last place you packed on weight then that is the first place it's going to come off.
