Hi Loretta,
Firstly congrats on the best decision you would have ever made.
This program works, the best tip I can give you is stick to it, do not deviate and just sit back and watch the fat come off. Yeh, sure the first few days are tough but once you pass those and you get yourself in the zone it really is so easy. Your results will motivate you not to mention this wonderful forum
Good luck with it all and yes, please do keep us updated.

p.s I am in Melb also.

Loretta, A big welcome to you. You have made an excellent decision. Just like Annie & Sam have said stick to the plan, don't deviate one little bit, soon you will get in the zone & watch the fat/weight melt away. It's brilliant! Follow the advice the clinic give you, keep the water up, don't start exercising if you don't now. The first few days are tough but it is so worth the effort. Know that we are here for you & will do our best to provide support. We have all helped one another along with the program. I have never felt I was doing it alone. Cheers for now, Cate.

Hey!
Good luck, I'm sure you'll lose the weight! I'm also having my first day today and I'm starting to feel a little bit shaky and hungry, but in another hour and a half I can have lunch. But if we get through the first week we should be fine.
:cheers2:

Hi Loretta
Welcome...
What everyone has said so far is spot on... no deviations, water, water, water are the keys! You will be fine. As soon as you rid your body of the toxins in these first few days the way you feel will blow you away!!!
The hardest part is done - taking responsibility for yourself and making the decision to be the best person you can be - we are nothing without our health!
If your feeling a bit flat or shaky make sure you are taking your vitamins and up them to a second dose if you need through these initial stages. You will feel much better and crave much less for it.
Take care of yourself.

Hi Loretta
Hope everythings going well so far. The first week is always the hardest but once you get through that.......it does all fall into place. Preparation is the key to Cohen's (if you haven't heard this before) when on this plan your whole entire existence revolves around it......you will see what i mean in time. Plan your meals inadvanced so you are never left short, which can lead to deviations. Have cans of tuna and crackers in your pantry cupboard....have meat portions weighed labelled and placed in freezer bags.
Even your vegies they can be decided the day before and weighed and placed in bags/containers and left in the firdge. Have a diet drink always on hand I enjoyed the kirks diet lemonade the most - I also liked sparkling mineral water something to break up the water a bit. You are allowed gum but go easy with it.
Hope this tips help you.
Sam:)

Hi Loretta
I only did my 4 weekly weigh-ins at the clinic. I am not a serial weigher....but that is just me...it is all very individual.
It depends where you are going eg resturant, friends or families? If it is a restaurant you can find out where and what they serve by ringing them in advance and advising them you are on a medical diet and see if they can make you a special meal to your specifications. If it friends just let them know your on a medical diet and will need to bring your own food and will prepare it there.....same for family as well. Other wise in all cases eat before you go and just have fruit for dessert.
Good luck.

Hi Loretta
How are you going? has the good feeling kicked in yet?
I am on day 2 and I am sure feeling very hungry and I woke with a headache this morning.
I am going to try and stick to weighing every 4 week, but who know I think I might be tempted after the 1st week. Then I will try real hard to do it 4wkly. I will however measure myself on a weekly bases as I have been told this is the best way to see you size decreasing as you will loose cm's but maybe not as much weight as you would like each week, as our body runs on a 4 week cycle.
I would not have any rice if I went out as I am really trying to keep to the program 100% and my consultant said to me that 1 day messing up may cost me 1 week of the program and I really don't want that. But the choice is yours it may not make much of a difference but will probably make a small difference if you do.
I am planning that if I go out for dinner either eating before I go and having fruit when I am out or calling the restaurant and seeing if they would allow me to take my own meal and tell them it is due to medical reasons.
Have a great weekend look forward to hearing your progress and how you go with eating out.

Hi Princess
What an amazing loss......you have set weight loss goals like me. I have over 6kg to lose before my 40th in April but things have slowed down.
Keep up the positivity and can't wait to see you reach your next goal.

Hi,
My family have noticed and have mentioned to me that I am looking better, and probably because they are not afraid to say anything to me, however, I have not told my friends that I am on a diet and they have not said anything, but the other day I decided to tell a couple of my friends because they were sitting there looking at me and wondering why I was not eating lunch with them and they said that they had noticed but were not sure weather to say anything, but they had been talking about it and they thought that I was getting thinner. So maybe this is the case with your friends too, they might be noticing, but not sure if they should say anything just yet. Wait you will get to a stage where there will be no way they can miss it and there will be no way they will not be able to say something about it.
My little niece who is only 7, said to here mum the other day, Aunty Sal looks pretty today. She thought it was just the clothes and my new earrings. But it made me feel very good. And her mum who is my best friend came up to me and told me what she said. That gave me such a good feeling.
So don't get disheartened, they maybe noticing, just not saying anything....yet

Hi Princess, I think people don't say anything because they are don't want to upset you in case they are wrong or you are sick. My mum thought I had cancer! Don't worry everyone will be noticing very soon & the attention can become embarrassing! All of a sudden you will find your clothes hanging off you. I recommend op-shopping for a while & saving the big shop for after re-feed. Then it's truly wonderful!! Cheers, Cate.
