OK I just realized that I have a new found pool of ladies to poll. As some of you may know I make and sell home made soap. So. What do you like? I can get pretty much any fragrance. Victoria Secret, Bed Bath and Beyond, Yankee Candles, designer fragrances. So. What do you like?

I prefer my soap to be unscented... like ivory...

But if i want the soaps to scent my bathroom.. then clean scents I prefer -like cotton, lemon, fresh cut grass...

Ooh fun question, my favorite smell is vanilla (Bath and Body works warm vanilla sugar), and I really love spearmint smells, or citrusy smells. Lavendar and Jasmine is also a big hit for me. Also, love spell from victorias secret is quite yummy :)

Lush Narcotick, which has been discontinued. It's not the scent I want, but the lemon and tea tree oil

(Hey, I googled to get the exact name, and look! They brought it back! LUSH -- Narcotick (http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/00633?expand=whatsnew))

Just goes to show you how people are different - Ivory smells incredibly strongly scented to me. It's just not scented with a smell identifiable as other than Ivory.

What's in my bathroom is Irish Spring. Perfumey girly soap makes me itch, and makes my kid want to use it (and then she itches), and gives my boss a headache (so I'd better not smell like it by the time I get to work). If I come in with my hair damp, she complains about the residual shampoo odor.

It's a well known fact that women love the smell of cucumber. Or so I've been told.

My favorite scent is Vanilla, and I tend to like fruity scents rather than flowery. For shower gel, if it's not vanilla, I love cucumber melon or grapefruit. :biggrinjester:

unless you're allergic to them (I am) then the smell of cucumber is a very bad thing :)

only if they're really big cucumbers... but size doesn't really matter.

fresh cut cucumbers have a fairly neutral smell- cucumber scented anything tends to be very cloying and unnatural...

If i want to smell roses - I'll get roses...
If i want to smell vanilla -I'll bake cookies...

I prefer scents in their natural state... :D

I don't use perfume. I use fragrance oils so I don't have ichy problems.

Soap is a wash off product. Ideally after the bath you don't smell like anything but clean.

The great thing about that is you can get really creative with your fragrances. I make a coffee that is one of my favorites. I love the smell ibn the shower but I wouldnt want to walk around all day smelling like a Starbucks.

Ahhh vanilla. Soapmakers hate it. I use it. But here is the tricky part of making soap with it.

It turns it brown. No way around it. You unmold a beautifully white bar. Sit it up to cure and a few days later it looks like a block of tree bark.

I do use it sometimes you just have to be creative.

Oh by the way. My favorite is Honey Almond. I make it with oatmeal. It is hands down the best soap I make as far as actual benefits. Honey, almonf, and oatmeal are all really good for your skin.

My two favorites are clove or patchouli. Friend of mine makes soaps & candles too, so I talked her in to making a batch of the clove. It sold out quickly and not because I bought all of it. Clove orange would be awesome too.

Money. Women love the smell of money. Grind up dollar bills if you have to. Credit Cards can also be substituted.
