Wow you can really see the difference in losing 40lbs. You'll probably see a bigger difference after you reached your goal. Keep it up yourr looking great.

Is that the same shirt? Looks like it, and it's a LOT looser in the second set of pictures. Great job on the 40 pounds over the summer keep striving to your goal

thanks everybody! And yes, that is INDEED the exact same shirt! I plan to keep going as I have been! Id like to be 238 pounds by September 17th, and then 215-220 by Christmas time. After that, I'll set new mini-goals for myself. It seems to help! I'll probably do more pictures once I reach my Christmas goal. Thanks for the support everyone! xo

wow, i didnt realize i had newer responses to this thread until i actually checked my email, lol. To those asking how I did it.. there's no secret or miracle. I religiously count calories, cut back on junk food, limit refined carbohydrates.. choose whole grains.. but only 2-3 servings per day.. lots of lean protein such as chicken and fish. I rarely eat red meat or processed meat. I cannot remember the last time I've even such a thing. I try to avoid eating prepackaged foods whenever possible because this is usually processed stuff.
A good tip I learned from my favorite tv show "x-weighted" is to shop around the PARIMETER of the grocery store! meats, dairy, fresh produce. Everything else in the middle of the store is not crucial. I've found this to be true thus far, and I feel great!! I've also been doing cardio exericse 2-3 times per week (usually arc trainer for 30-45 mins) along with light weight training a few times a week. This exercise is in addition to my daily routine which includes a LARGE amount of walking and standing most of the day.
Oh yes.. and I am only 5'4" :)

It actually hadn't been four months yet either! =)
It was exactly four months yeaterday, and I reached my 45 lb mark yesterday! Im quite excited, and it is intense! Such a change that Im getting used to. I have never weighed less than 255 pounds since well.. I have no idea. Even in my early teens I was extremely heavy.. my highest was probably around 295 when i was 16, and now.. at 20, im 243lbs and feel so different. I have no desire to give up or stop until I reach my goal of 140. My current short-term goal is to reach 220 by christmas, and then 180-190 by graduation from college in june. I know I can lose more than that 55-65 pounds in the next eight months, but i set my goals a little lower to be more reasonable. I realize that as I lose weight, it will become more difficult to keep losing at the same pace. As long as I am out of the 200's by graduation, i'll be estatic! :)

Great job! Keep it going. Learning to eat healthy is something that will last us forever. It's something I had to learn as well.
