I'll have to find a current, or create one. It's the after that will take a while...

The hardest part is the start. You have conquered that. You can do the rest!!

What is your plan?

My plan so far? We have removed a lot of the "white foods" from the house, potatoes, pasta, etc. and replaced them with fresh fruit and veggies. I work nights, and sometimes they can be long. That is one thing I still need to deal with. I need to find a way to avoid the vending machines at 2:00 am...

The second part of the plan has been very successful so far. For the last 4 weeks I have been commiting to a resistance training regimen 3 times a week, and bicycling 4 -5 days a week. This has also been my answer to quitting the cigarettes that have been killing me my whole life. They are now gone!!!:beerchug:

Wow! Good for you for quitting smoking! You must feel so much healthier :) Good plan! Very do-able, yet still challenging. You are going to do so well!! I look forward to seeing your progress.

man that picture is hideous. Maybe in your after picture you will be wearing a New York Giants t-shirt?

Just playing man, good luck on your journey.

It's all good!!! I gotta tell ya, The giants flat out outplayed them in the superbowl. I'll give those boys a bunch of credit, even if they call themselves a NY team but rely on New Jersey to supply them with real estate, electricity, half their fan base etc...

Anyway, here is a current (during) pic that my SO shot today.

Obviously I still have a ways to go. BTW, That is not an optical illusion, I really am as tall as the door frame.

So that's 66 Lbs down according to your weight tracker? That's awesome! Fantastic Job!!!!

How are you doing it? Do you have secret video taped footage of how other people lose weight? Can you cheat and still lose weight? :) (That's a dig on the Patriots, for those who didn't get it.)

With that BMI and weight, that'd make you 6'8". That IS tall!

They're going to need more than video tape with Tom Brady out for the season...

Stopping by to offer some encouragment, you look fantastic though! You can really tell the difference from your first pic. Height is always slimming! What are you doing to lose? Do you have a separate diary thread? Hope to catch up to your loss amount, I would be pumped!!!

Thanks, and yes I have a separate diary that I've been trying to be religious about keeping.

Basically, I'm exercising my @$$ off (literally, I hope!). I recently started tracking daily calories, and I quit smoking about a month ago. Funny thing is, it was the smoking tha led me here more than the weight loss. I needed a little support to stay on track and not go calorie crazy when cravings hit.

To all others, thanks for stopping by and giving me kudos, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over... :grouphug:

Now that you're tracking your calories you might find it comes off even faster! Great progress so far, and hopefully you meat your goals soon. I know how tough it can be working night shift.... thankfully the food diary kept me on the straight and narrow.

Take care and keep up the good work.

I need to make quitting those things a part of my journey as well... I've done it once and lasted a good 8 months... but started back up again....... I know I can do it again and maybe using my willpower to quit will help me in other areas as well.....
