I used the weight watchers program and used points values. When I first started I didn't follow very well, but I still lost weight and that got me really motivated. At that time I strapped my diet down for 6 months solid and cheated I think once maybe. Now I set a day aside to give myself a treat (not all out binge, but a couple of things I wouldn't normally eat) It took me about a year and a half to reach goal weight then it just took exercise and time to get my skin to tighten (thank god I lost weight now, while my skin still holds its elasticity well.)

It took me probably around a year and a half to lose it all...But I still am working on exercising..I can't bring myself to get into a habit =/ I will work out for 2 months religiously then fail to work out for a whole month..so my body has changed from when I first initially lost all the weight until now beucase I have tightened up a little bit.

I was on weight watchers..and I didn't really do well at first. My mom was doing it so I was like..eh..I'll eat some of this food and some of my normal intake. I realized that I was loosing weight..and not even trying from eating this food that I actually liked. That kicked my ass into gear and I was like..wow..I can really do this for once. So I did lower my calorie intake as I went along (also making some mistakes of deprivation..- it's hard being in highschool and feeling the pressure) but I lowered my points as I went, so yes..I did lower my calorie intake.
Honestly though, I was a REDICULOUS binge eater..I would eat until my stomach felt like it was going to burst but then KEPT eating.. I don't know why..But I did..
Sorry for the winded answer, but yes, I did lower calorie intake, and I honestly cant tell you how much I went from..becuase It was points to me not calories.. Now I eat 1200 everyday or I gain weight (assuming its from the starvation period my body had gone through for 6 months of me torturing it... =/ )
