I usually get up at 5 to fit in my workout before everyone gets up. I never seem to have the time if I wait until after work.

i think its a lil bit easier for me to exercise since im a stay at home mom.. i wake up at 8 with my son and i put him in his high chair and let him feed himself while im doing my exercise dvd.. (35-40) he has fun watching me.. then i do housework around 10-11 i go for a mile walk.. with my husband new job it makes it easier for me to workout.. before i would work out before i went to bed.. as long as your moving is what i say

I thought it would be easier to workout because I am a Stay at home mom, but I found my schedule so hectic and unorganized. I couldn't figure out how to fit in time for myself. I'm starting to come around and take advantage of any free moments I get. Sometimes it's really hard to stay motivated after caring for two toddlers all day long. I missed the routine set by work and the time I had to workout (Ex-Military). Being accountable to someone really helped. Coming to these forums is going to be a great help. It's good to find you guys.

I'm fortunate enough to work in an uptown environment that has several gyms within walking distance. I always walk to the gym during lunch break.
I also like to take the family to the track near our house. My stay-at-home wife and our 2 daughters (4 years old and 4 months old). Lately though that has not worked so well. Our oldest is becoming uncontrollable at the track.

I worked out on the afternoons for the longest time. Now with recent schedule changes, I get up at 5.40 and go run for 45 min in a park near my house 5 days a week. By 7.00 am I out the door. Also on Mon and Thurs i go to my gym's "boot-camp" class, from 5.30pm that is my strenght-training for 45 min. i have one rest day but it is always a different day.

Right now I am only strength training. I do that 3 nights per week for 45 minutes or so.

I try to excercise while my son is taking a nap. It's hard to get into a routine because his naps vary from day to day.
Sometimes there's just no time, but I take the stairs two at a time when I am going up and down doing laundry and I try to stretch and work out while doing housework. Eg. lunges while vacuuming, stretching while putting away dishes, walking around in high heels to tone my calves etc...

I try to workout wherever I can. With kids, it's never the same. Nap time. I tried mornings, but I couldn't make it work. Going to the Y has been helpful and I'll usually try to go in the morning so the little ones can play in the child care area. Sometimes I wait til after dinner so that my husband can watch the kids while I go for a slow run or jaunt around the neigborhood.

Just the last 2 weeks ive been doubling my excercise shedule, I wanna see big results faster:) so my new routine is doing a workout tape in the mornings while my 4 yr old is at kindy and my twin babies are asleep. then in the afternoons I walk with my neighbour for 40 mins. Im also doing a fitclass (body shape & sculpt, and Aerobic Dance) twice a week for a bit of me time, twins are in the creche for fitclass, Dancing is at night) so its great being able to get outta the house and do something good for myself at the same time :jump:

I usually workout in the early mornings or evening. I usually run at 6am and in the evening I will do a course at the gym-I was doing strenght training but I got bored so i am going to try to get into it again.
On the weekends i try to aim for a Long run and I do yoga and or salsa dancing at my gym.

I put my daughter to bed at 6, do an exercise DVD and stretches and then study until my partner comes home from work. If I am procrastinating from study, I might do some more exercise. I try to walk to and from uni whenever I can. I just have something light for dinner so I can exercise better and so that I'm not spending too much time cooking and cleaning (my time is so limited!)

My husband is very supportive of me so 9:00pm everynight is my time to workout. We have a 20month and 2 month old - so no matter what is going on - I get 9 - 9:45pm.

Most of the time I work out in the morning between 6 and 7am... the latest is 11am on my lunch hour.
Working out in the afternoon isn't my favorite thing to do...but I feel like poop if I don't get my gym time in.

ATM, I'm aiming for every day, but my uni timetable is so stuffed up and changes every week, so I have to change it around. I haven't lost weight all year.
I lost 20kg last year by exercising EVERY night after my daughter went to bed and going on lots of walks (to uni, park, friends' houses).
I'm guessing I should get back into that routine.

I'm lazy. I pretty much work out only about 20 mins a day and only when my new baby is calm/sleeping. I try to exercise during commercials if I'm watching tv. That's about the only schedule I have.

I have two kids and had a lot of trouble trying to 30 - 45 minutes into my day during kids naps, eating, grocery shopping, work, etc., I found I could get in a great workout just 15 minutes in the morning and in the evening doing what are called "short burst" workouts. I combined this with foods that burn more energy and found great results with this.
Hope this helps,
Ana

My exercise routine changes all the time, depending on my children.
Most afternoons I push my daughter in a pram and my son rides his bike next to me. I try to do this straight after I pick my son up from school.
At night when the children are in bed I do my weights, stretching and ab work.
Then as a whole family we try to climb a mountain once or twice a week. We carry the little one.
If I can't take the kids for a walk I just run sprints across out backyard. It's 1/4 acre so it's quite a good few sprints. They just play on the trampoline etc.

Monday-Fridays... I drive my boys to school and the baby and I go walking/jogging at 845am. Once summer hits, I go to the gym and do what I can in the parenting room. The baby never lasts to long in their though, so we go to the indoor b-ball courts and I let her play in there while I run laps and shoot some hoops. I also ALWAYS throw in some lunges in my routine!
Saturdays...the whole family goes to a local park w/ hiking trails and we hike, or hubby baby and I go jogging while my boys play at the park.
Every night we take the dog for a 1/2mile walk.
Sundays are my days off from excersize. I like to spend the day in my PJ's hangin w/ the kiddos! =)

I work from 7am to 4pm. My BF picks our son up from daycare since he works right down the street from it where as I work about 30mins. the opposite way. He usually picks him up around 4:30 and is home around 5:00pm. Once I get home I get my workout clothes on and go for a good run. Most of the time they aren’t home yet when I get back. If they happen to be home before I get off work than my BF watches him so I can do my workout.

It varies.
Monday's & Wednesday's: 5:00AM-8:00AM
- I have classes during the day so I need to get my work-out done early in the morning. I prefer working out early in the morning :)
Tuesday's & Thursday's: 9:00AM-1:00PM
- I have personal training at 9AM so I have to wait until 9AM to start working out :P
Saturday's & Sunday's: 7:00AM-10:00AM, 3:00PM-6:00PM
- Honestly varies. It just depends when I have work. Some day's I have an 8-9 hour shift all day so I have to squeeze in a work-out early in the morning. Other day's, I start early but I get off by 3PM so I have time to hit the gym after work.
