LOL Slendering is a natural supplement, I'm against diet pills!!!! It speeds up my metabolism, before I would do everything right and still not lose, but using it on top of doing the right thing is like magic.

What is working for me,
Went back to a Pure Vegetarian Diet
Cardio excersise with HIIT
Excersising 6x a week
Drowing myself in water (that is all I drink)
Three meals a day to rid myself of toxic hunger
No sweets
No caffine
What works great about this is I am never hungry, so there is no need to snack.

What is the best part is I have so much energy now. For instance, I have a cold (from touching something that some nasty person who didn't wash their hands touched), and it is barley there. And I'm not tired and have not taken any medication for it.

if it speeds up ur metabolism then its speeding up ur heart rate, so what makes that different from any other diet pill??

Not to jump on the bandwagon, but if you were doing everything right, you'd lose weight. If things are 'right,' your body has no choice but to shed the excess.... laws of nature and all that good shit, ya know.

Oh, and to answer the original post.....
The ONLY thing that has ever worked for me is consistent effort.
I'm a firm believer that once you look past all the the nitty gritty of the information out there about exercise and diet..... in the end, all that really matters is that you consistently put in consistent and sufficient effort more days than you don't.
The net will be progress.
Of course there are all the goodies like knowing how much energy you are consuming, doing the right exercises, etc.
But consistency is primary in my mind.

I agree with Steve.
What's worked for me:
- consistent effort (working out at the gym 6 out of 7 days of the week)
- drinking almost nothing but water
- making meat a side dish, NOT an entree (filling plate up with vegetables and other "good" foods which I make myself eat before the meat, so I'm less likely to chow down)
- switching from white bread to whole wheat

Maverick, the making the meat a side dish thing is a FANTASTIC idea......I never heard of that before....very clever

Thanks!
Making meat a side dish just helps me eat it in proper proportion to serving size...much better to eat one delicious juicy BBQ rib on the side and serve yourself a big mound of veggies than to eat 3 or 4 ribs and just give yourself a little scoop of the good stuff. :D
I'm a carnivore at heart, so I kind of make meat my "reward" for eating healthy stuff I'd really rather not eat, like squash and broccoli. (I HATE broccoli and squash...)
I've also found that whatever you restrict actually tastes better than if you pigged out on it, because you slow down to savor the taste and experience.
As far as working out goes, I was trying to work out 7 days out of the week, but there's always one day where it's more difficult than usual - either I'm really sore, or I sleep in and don't get enough stuff done, or the gym is really busy and I don't feel like jostling for position on weights or machines.
No gym day usually falls on my cheat day, where I eat one meal of whatever I want (within reason). But even on the days I don't go to the gym, I still do a few sit-ups, push-ups, lunges, that kind of thing, just to keep in habit.
That's one thing I forgot to mention that works for me: "commercial" exercise. When I'm just lounging around doing nothing (which is a lot of the time because I'm a Leo and naturally very lazy :o) whenever a commercial comes on, I do either 5 push-ups or 20 sit-ups. It really adds up and helps build my stamina overall.

1. Never missed breakfast, 2 eggs with veggies (90% of the time)
2. Dropped my food intake in half for lunch and dinner. For dinner I only eat piece of fruit or veggies.
3. Eat more healthy food.
4. Never eat after 6pm.
5. Avoiding bread as much as possible.

For the third time it's not a diet pill, it has no caffein or drugs, it's a fiber, which is beneficial to your body and health and helps me get over that slump.

I have lost quite a bit of weight, but have slowly watched some of it creep back on...was actually thinking of trying Slendering, just to jump start my loss and am currently using Weight Watchers. It has been working, lost 5lbs so far, but have 40 to go.

What works for me:
Lots of coffee with low cal whitener and sweeteners, takes edge off
Lots of fruit, I discovered Sharon fruit recently, they are sooo sweet and lovely!
Weighing myself every day
Looking at inspirational pictures/stories
Buying myself new clothes as a treat when weight drops
Eating lots of veg
Giving my dogs the chocolate bar/biscuit/crisps ive just opened/nibbled (I know, bad for dogs!)
Staying away from the canteen at work at break and lunch
Drinking lots of soup, 120 cals a can of chunky scotch broth
Eating packs of sliced chicken, 5 slices of chicken only 120 cals too, plus very filling
Drinking lots of low cal hot chocolate for my sweet tooth, lasts longer than a bar of chocolate plus takes sweet craving away
Um..
Being more prepared with food, having something low cal I can eat on hand
Eating lots of prawns/tuna in salad, huge bowl with low cal mayonnaise
Looking at the before and after photos on here..
Having a before photo of me on my weight loss spreadsheet
Am I boring you yet! :)

CHOCOLATE IS POISONOUS TO DOGS. IT WILL KILL THEM OVER TIME.
So stop feeding it to them, it's not just diarrhea we're talking about. You wouldn't feed your children hemlock in small, constant doses either.
As a piece of trivia, poinsetta ("christmas plant") is also poisonous, but not nearly the same fatality risk.

Slendering is indeed not a diet pill, with no stimulants to the resting heart rate. It's not even the smarmy, dangerous ripoff that is hoodia.
That said, slendering does have a very compelling notice on their web site about their *philosophy of natural compounds and modern neutraceuticals!" Wow! When taken orally, slenderings "twin fibers" stimulate a "hydrophobic interaction" at the site of the fat molecules that rise to the top of your stomach. There, slenderings "escortive" principle springs into action, rapidly aiding the transit of fat out of your digestive tract... Pretty fancy...
The only problem is that's just what happens when you eat regular, plain old soluble fiber. "Hydrophobic" is a property of oil, fat, and other molecules that aren't readily soluble in water. Oil floats on water; that's all it means. The fat in your meals ALWAYS did this, even before the magic of slendering. and fiber ALWAYS moves undigested bits of food from your meals right along with the digested ones to. That's why fiber is so effective; it makes you go.
You could go buy whole plain psyllium husk from any pharmacy, like a pound for $2.99, and it would work just the same as slendering, in fact probably better. You should do this anyway, as psyllium (or plenty of other dietary fiber) combined with proper water intake (halve your weight - that's how many ounces of water you need a day) will peel off the disgusting crust of dried crap that's clinging to the walls of our colons. YOU WILL lose about 10 - 15 pounds just by doing this sometimes (assuming you're like me with a BMI of over 35 - 40).
I bet in the slendering instructions it says to drink lots of water with it. That would let the "magic fiber" do its work and justify the rationale that it's customers do lose weight, which technically, the would.

Listen, if it works, and it's not SPEED - than I think you have to use it. The risk of some herbal supplement compared to say 75 pounds of strain on your heart isn't even close. Personally, I'm useless without a cup of coffee in the morning and since I workout in the mornings I'm sure you could say I'm using a "stimulant" to workout. If one cup of coffee a day means I keep the 35 pounds off, I'm drinking a cup of coffee a day. Eventually I'd like to have all caffeine out of my diet - but one thing at a time.
And I also don't think a cup of coffee (one cup mind you) is bad for you. If you're drinking 3-4 cups to jack your heart rate up and workout obsessively, that's another story.

What has worked for me (so far).........
No processed foods
No white flour
No sugar (occasional dark chocolate)
2 quarts of water/day
Nothing but water or herbal tea after 7 p.m.
Fasting one day per week
Cardio every morning....even if it's only 10 minutes
If you cut out processed food, white flour and sugar, you can practically eat as much as you want of anything else and you will get to an optimal weight. I didn't mention meat, cause I'm a vegetarian...I guess that probably helps too, but not the most important thing by far.
One more thing....buy an article of clothing you love one size too small....hang it somewhere highly visible to you and try it on once a week. The best part is when it becomes too big.

Wow, that's how my wife eats for sure. She hasn't had flour of ANY kind of processed sugar in three years. She subsists on fruit, stevia extract, yogurt, potatos, legumes, beans, etc. as her main staples. She's got it down to a science about getting all her nutrition, and yet, not eating any processed flours or sugar. She doesn't eat bread for god's sake, ever.
Anyway, it can be done. I still eat sprouted, flourless bread and feel like I'm eating twinkies...

I was reading an article today that made a lot of sense.
Instead of constantly thinking about cutting calories and depriving ourselves we need to think about becoming FIT.
The weight loss will be a natural part of that.
When you're fit everything is easier....it's easier to be more active, which in turn burns more calories....it's a benevolent cycle instead of the vicious cycle of deprivation, binge...etc etc etc
It's from the Jan/Feb 2008 issue of Experience Life magazine

This is the theory espoused by Adele Davis, a nutritionist from the 60's, as well as a core value in the "Raw Foods" movement. Obesity is an imbalance; a balanced diet with healthy activity will cause slow, steady weight loss without much conscious effort.
I'll let you know in six months to a year!! LOL
