Is this a Stable Method to...

Hey, I need some help, all comments are appreciated!
Basically though, is this method/plan good for burning fat while simultaneously gaining some muscle?

Diet

Breakfast
Around 2 Cups of Special K with about 2 cups Low-Fat(around 1.5g of Saturated)

Lunch
Lean Turkey Sandwich with your Standard/Common Lettuce and Whole grain (Around 7) wheat bread.

Dinner
Lean Skinless chicken Breast with slightly salted Broccoli/Cauliflower

Notes: Daily Multivitamin included.
My only consumed drinks: Water and Fruit Juices(Occasionally)

Exercise

Monday
20 Push ups, and 40 Crunches (2 Different types of crunches-2 sets of 10 crunches, with two different types=40)
Followed by brisk 30 min bike ride.

Tuesday
Run, Starting at a 10 min stretch --> 5 min walk --> 10 Min straight run (increase weekly)

Wednesday
The cycle of the two listed days repeats itself.

Here is the link to my Before Pictures Thread:

Spend some time reading the stickied threads...

Your diet - isn't the worst i've seen but it's not great either -

How many calories a day are you getting?
Dump the special K -depsire all their advertising they do as a good diet food- it's really not nutritious - find a cereal that has at least 5 grams of fiber (spend soe time in the cereal aisle reading labels... It should also have less than 5 grams of sugar.

I know you're probably thinking that I need more smaller meals, scattered throughout the day, as well as dumping the special K.
Basically my parents bought 4 boxes of Special K >:O GRR and aren't very wasteful people, so I HAVE to eat it >:O. Also I usually have 2 small meals/snacks, consisted of Vegetables and/or Fruits. Once the Special K is gone, I'll get some more fibrous cereals, also is your basic yogurt with granola in it healthy? Because I could substitute the Special K with that...?

Smaller meals aren't necessarily the way to go - it's really up to how you feel andhow your body reacts... If you like the small meals and are satisfied with it - knock yourself out.. but it's total calories during the day that m atter...

I'mnot familiara with basic yogurt cereal - I'm not a fan of anything that has HFCS as an ingredient - not everyone supports that belief of mine - but I do try to avoid any cereal that has mor ehtan 5 grams of sugar per serving and has less than 5 grams of fiber.

Heee, been there done that. My kid begs for cereal, eats it by the fistful in the car on the way home, then never touches it again. I can't stand to throw it out, so I trudge through it. (Chocolate Honeycomb? Nasty, nasty stuff.) I don't dislike it any more if it goes stale, though, so I have a small portion every day, rather than large portions to use it all up faster.

Mal, he means a container of yogurt with some granola sprinkled over the top, not some weird brand of cereal.

Most granola is very calorie-dense, and high in sugar and fat. Toss that onto some plain (unsweetened) yogurt (I'd pick nonfat myself), and they probably balance each other out.

Yeah, I think there is a cereal called that.

I like my cereal dry, or with orange juice if I have to eat it in a bowl with something. Milk on cereal *shudder*. On the other hand, I make my oatmeal with milk, and usually make it really thin, so it's a bowl of warm milk with some oats and fruit.

I ought to try some plain yogurt with frozen sweet cherries. I bet that would be good.

I said that to someone the other day -that i utterly destested milk on cereal - makes it all soggy and gross.. ever since I was a kid I hated milk oncereal... they thought I was a little off my rocker..

Plain yogurt with any frozen fruit is good - I will usually defrost the fruit first so it gets all juicey.. it's also good in cottage cheese...

And see, I like to put it in frozen so it freezes whatever I'm eating with it. (Which is mostly pudding, because I like pudding and fruit.) Raspberries freeze hard, so they need to thaw a bit, but sweet cherries have enough sugar in them that they get squishy by the time I have everything in the bowl.

Hi runner.. sounds like your doing pretty good, probably even a little too low on the food. Don't see much fruit.

As far as the cereal, I have found that the Kashi GoLean Crunch is the very best.. it has 9g protein, 8g fiber, and no HFCS. It also tastes good. I prefer Silk Soy Milk with mine, and add a few blueberries or strawberries, or whatever you like.

Your doing good.. just add a little more fruit and vegetables, and maybe even a little more protein.

I had lost 50 lbs just by watching the bad carbs and walking and basically eating healthy, but I quit and have gained a lot back. but I hope to get back with the program.

good Luck!

thanks! yeah, my diet has changed and involves more fruits/vegetables. this post is sorta old in comparison to now; I was on a vacation. It's funny though, I lost 19 lbs, which seemed to be enough to have my six pack, which is more defined from working out, although I need to work my arms though :P I guess I only really need this site to help other people, as I dont need any more weightloss advice. but you should get back to your program!
